1. Helen & Joeys
Our first wine tasting stop will be at Helen & Joeys.
Nestled in the foothills of the environmentally important Warramate Hills, a visit to Helen & Joeys Cellar Door will leave you feeling like one of the family. Enjoy a tasting of the cool climate, single vineyard and Yarra Valley wines across the Inara, Layla, Alena, Late Harvest, and Wayward Child ranges whilst soaking in the unique and stunning views from the Helen and Joey deck.
2. Soumah Winery
Soumah Wines is a hidden gem! Soumah focus on styles from Northern Italy including Pinot Grigio, Ai Fiori (Rosata), Brachetto and Nebbiolo as well as the Eastern French varieties of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Viognier.
After a generous wine tasting, an A la carte lunch will be served overlooking the stunning vineyards and Yarra Valley beyond.
3. Pimpernel Vinyards
Enjoy a generous wine tasting session inspired by the great wines and traditions of Burgundy and the Rhône Valley, Pimpernel Vineyards aim to offer an expression of their unique terroir. Through the combination of dry land cultivation techniques and minimal intervention winemaking, Pimpernel Vineyards produces intensely flavoured wines that express their site and climate.
4. Coldstream Dairy
No stop would be complete without a Dairy stop.
Not as hectic as some, but every bit as delicious, Coldstream Dairy know their cheese and specialise in cheeses made using Yarra Valley milk including:
Enjoy a complimentary cheese and condiment tasting, pure indulgence!
5. Nillumbik Estate
Our final stop of the day is well worth the wait and one of our favourite spots in the Yarra Valley, good food, amazing wine and great people. The Tregambe family have been making wine for generations in Italy and it is their age-old wine making techniques that head winemaker John Tregambe employs at Nillumbik Estate. Throughout the year, John readily delights visitors with barrel tastings of new vintages or a tour of the pristine vineyard. The large deck at the cellar door offers breathtaking views of the Kinglake Ranges; ready to be soaked up with a glass of fine wine.
